Although it is the employer’s personal preference whether they review it during the recruitment process, you will never be penalised for including a one, but you could be penalised if you do not include it.

It is an excellent opportunity to give a personal touch on why you are a suitable candidate for the role. It allows you to specifically address the key qualities, experience and education that will enable you to thrive in the advertised position.

Additionally, it can show your potential new employer how you are a good fit for the organisation and how you align with their values.

The process

  • I provide a consultation to talk through the role(s) you are applying for, your background, why you want the role and why you feel you are fit for the role.

  • The first draft will be created within three working days; thorough research is conducted into the organisation and the role.

  • A debrief consultation can be scheduled to ensure you are 100% happy with the cover letter and to discuss what is included.
